Call Drops

If calls are disconnecting before the conversation is complete, use this guide to find out why.

Call Shows as "Participant Disconnected"

What it means: The customer ended the call before it was complete.

What to check:

  • Listen to the recording via Dashboard → All Calls → Insights to hear what happened before the call ended
  • Was the agent's opening too long or unclear? Customers often hang up in the first few seconds if they are confused
  • Review and shorten the agent's opening line in Dashboard → Agents → Your Agent → Instructions

Calls Dropping After a Few Seconds

What it usually means: The customer may have mistaken the AI for a spam call and hung up.

What to do:

  • Make sure the agent clearly identifies itself and your business name in the first sentence
  • Use a clear, friendly greeting — avoid sounding robotic or scripted
  • Update the agent's opening instructions and run a Test Call to verify

Calls Dropping Repeatedly on the Same Number

What it usually means: The number may have connectivity issues or the customer is on a poor network.

What to do:

  • Try calling the number manually to check if it is reachable
  • If the number is unreachable, mark it as failed and remove it from the campaign
  • Check call logs in Dashboard → All Calls to see the call disposition

High Rate of Dropped Calls Across a Campaign

What to check:

  • Are the phone numbers in the correct format? Numbers must start with the country code (e.g. +91 for India)
  • Is the campaign calling at the right time? Calls made at inconvenient hours get dropped more often
  • Review your agent's instructions — an agent that sounds unclear or scripted leads to more hang-ups
